I've just bought MeetingGold and installed it but it won't launch - what's happening?

This is rare but there have been a couple of reports of this happening so I've added this page to the website to help those few people it affects to get up and running as soon as possible. In all cases so far this is not directly a MeetingGold issue. It appears to be a memory issue on the iPad (other apps have leaked memory or the iPad is in a poor state). It is known to happen with other apps too. Please try the following steps and if that doesn't work please contact me via the support page.

Once you have the app up and running I'd be most grateful if you could follow these instructions: sending a crash report.

Steps to get up and running:

  1. Make sure you are using the latest version of iOS. If not upgrade your iPad so that you are using at least version 5 of iOS. Once you've upgraded, reinstall Meeting Gold. If that doesn't solve the problem try the next step.
  2. Delete the app, redownload and install. If that doesn't fix the problem try step 3.
  3. Delete the app. Turn off the iPad by holding the lock button at the top right edge of the iPad until the red "slide to power off" button appears. Slide it and wait while the iPad turns off. Wait a minute and then turn on again by pressing the same button. Re-download and install. Try opening MeetingGold again. If that doesn't work go to the next step.
  4. Delete the app. Do a hard reset as follows: ensure that your work in other apps is all saved. Then press and hold the lock and home buttons down. Keep holding until you see the Apple logo. Then let go and wait for the iPad to restart. Re-download and install. Open MeetingGold. If that doesn't work go to the next step.
  5. Delete the app. Ensure it is downloaded onto your computer with iTunes. plug your iPad into the computer with iTunes and sync the app onto the iPad. If this doesn't work contact me via the support page.
